Gargoyle

Gargoyle, by Shannon Fleet, (Morganna)

9" X 12" Graphite drawing.
This is a very early drawing of mine! It is one of my favorites. I love gargoyles and dragons!

It's funny, you can look at you're past drawings and remember exactly where you were, and exactly where you drew it. Not only that, but where your life was at that particular time.

I remember being pretty content when I created this one.

This is in a private collection.

I so agree with you. I can look at old drawings and remember time and space and event, even how I felt at the time I drew it. Which wall or piece of furniture I leaned against as I sketched -- I used to love sitting on the floor for some reason.

I see why this is one of your favorites -- it has to do with that sense that all is well.

Hi Barb!

I think drawings are better at giving us a sense of where we were then photographs.

I think maybe that's why I love to draw people. :)

Thanks for the comment, Barb. I've been so busy in the past few weeks I've hardly had the chance to work on the blog. I'm trying to catch up now. :)

This reminds me of a dog that decided to bite me today.
